Course Outline

Our teacher will focus entirely on you and your goals. We will first understand your struggles, learning objectives and preferences before designing the practical syllabuses, lesson plans, assessments, and teaching materials employing various resources. Moreover, the course will be delivered utilising the most current and diverse language teaching approaches and methodologies most appropriate for you. We will observe lessons, evaluate lesson preparation, reflect on this for planning future lessons, and implement change if necessary. Each lecture covers one of four IELTS sections with explanations, examples, exercises, mock tests, and expert feedback. Learning and authentic test materials are provided for free.

Topics: IELTS Listening, IELTS Reading, IELTS Writing, IELTS Speaking, topic-specific vocabulary, grammar, sentence structures, idioms, IELTS practice strategies, and IELTS examination techniques.

Teacher: Steffa holds two master’s degrees from the University of Warwick and the University of Birmingham and has 20 years of teaching experience in English and IELTS to middle school students, university students, and adults.

Target learners: Prospective IELTS test takers, whether in Academic or General Training, with or without IELTS test experience, who want to learn at their own pace and achieve faster and outstanding results.

Course duration: Choose from 2, 10, 20, or 30-hour lessons, each lasting 2 hours and scheduled individually to fit your availability. All lessons must be completed within 3 months.

Locations: Macao, Birmingham or online.

Learning modes: In-person, live online, or blended learning.

Medium of instruction: English (or a combination of English and Cantonese/Mandarin if requested).

Teaching Approach

This course consists of lectures, handouts, online resources, mock tests, discussions, role plays, and feedback. The approach to teaching seeks to encourage student learning, participation, and interaction. It also enables you to share knowledge, experiences, and different views on a vast array of learning English challenges and to boost your confidence in using English and taking the IELTS test.

★ Expand your topic-specific vocabulary and common expressions used in the IELTS test, and learn the best and most up-to-date practices and examination strategies.
